Agoro Camp

A camp you build. A camp you live in.

A top-down camp builder set on a real off-grid camp in Portugal. Seven days. Work hours are scarce, every structure produces and consumes, and a badly connected camp browns out at dawn.

Playable now in your browser, free, no install. In development for iOS, Android, Windows and Mac.

The place is real

And it is still running

Camp Afric is an off-grid property near Castelo Branco, Portugal. Solar panels, batteries, water tanks, a caravan, an outdoor kitchen, a workshop. The founder lives and builds there. The game is not inspired by it. The game board is one drone photograph of that land, every building you place is cut from the same photograph, and you can walk the real thing in the video below.

This panel sits in the corner of the game. It reads the camp's real battery, solar and load and shows every value with its age. When the camp is dark, the game is dark. It never swaps in made-up numbers.

Real projects become quests

The camp's next build needs one pump house and one water tank. So the first quest is exactly that. A real bill of materials is honest because it is simply true, and every real project at the camp becomes a new quest for free.

The loop

What the game earns goes into the real camp. The camp's upgrades come back into the game as data and as content. Players see the world they paid for actually change.

How it plays

One week at the camp

A session is seven days. Each day gives you eight hours of work and nothing else is free. What you build today becomes operational at the following dawn, so costs arrive before benefits, and the order you build in is the whole game.

08 hrs

Time is the resource

Every structure costs hours and parts. A cabin takes six of your eight; a compost bay takes two. You will not finish everything, and you are not meant to.

5

Five systems

Power, water, food, comfort and parts. Everything you place produces some and consumes others. A pump without power is a shed; a garden without water is dust.

1 dawn

End the day, run the camp

Press End Day and a renderer-free simulation runs the night. A camp that produces less than it draws browns out at dawn, and you read exactly why.

8 ways

Walk it

You are a steward on the ground, walking the site in eight directions, placing structures on open earth. Buildings block your path. The land is the one you see from above.

What you build

Eight structures, one economy

These are the eight structures in the current build, with their real costs from the game's own data. In the game each one is cut from the drone photograph; the renders here are concept stand-ins.

The cast and the objects

Built as real things first

The founder is the first steward, scanned and rigged as himself. The red cart is a real cart at the camp, scanned in place. Turn them around. These are the models the first figurine run is printed from.

Where it goes

Same camp. One more camera.

The top-down game is the camp from above. The next step is the same camp from the ground: walk the site, enter the caravan, operate the solar system. Same simulation, same real numbers.

  • Everything you build from above is standing when you walk in.
  • Co-op for two to four stewards, sharing one camp and one week.
  • A companion who remembers what you did yesterday.
  • Your founder character, rebuilt in 3D when the ground-level game is funded.
